This annual event, part of the Women in Aviation International initiative, is set to take place on Saturday, September 21, and promises an exciting day filled with inspiration and hands-on experiences for young aspiring aviators.

Event Overview: Girls in Aviation Day is designed to ignite a passion for aviation among young girls and boys aged 8-17. Whether they are already fascinated by flight or are completely new to the world of aviation, this event provides a unique opportunity to explore and learn from accomplished women role models in the industry. This year’s event is packed with engaging activities and workshops aimed at nurturing the next generation of aviators, scientists, engineers, and leaders.

Activities and Experiences: Participants will kick off the day with a Welcome Breakfast before diving into a series of interactive experiences. The lineup includes aircraft tours, flight simulations, and hands-on mechanics workshops. Attendees can also participate in the exciting "Drone STEMonstrations," explore meteorology workshops, and visit an aviation and STEM career fair. A highlight of the day will be the Luncheon and Q&A panel with women aviation professionals, offering invaluable insights and inspiration for the young attendees.

Parent Involvement: Parents and siblings are encouraged to stay and enjoy the museum during the event at a nominal fee of $10 per person, with tickets available for purchase onsite. Additionally, a new Parent Workshop will provide advice on how to support and nurture a child's interest in STEM and aviation.
